The Story is Not Over...
Greetings from Duke Farms, Hillsborough, NJ! Well, not exactly. I’m actually writing this from home after visiting Duke Farms, but its beauty is still indelibly inscribed in my mind.
Sheryl (my wife), and I just returned home from visiting this amazing estate of over 1,000 acres filled with colorful flowers, a diversity of trees, water bodies, and wildlife all indigenous to the “Garden State.” It’s absolutely amazing.
Now if you do not want to slow down and take in God’s artistic canvas, Duke Farm is not the place for you. But if you want a day to chill out, enjoy God’s handiwork and the beauty of things peculiar to New Jersey, including a delicious organic food menu, by all means make the trip. Oh, and make sure you get the Pistachio muffin. No matter how full you may be when you’ve finished eating…make room. It’s worth every crumb.
Well, all that to say, as we were walking through the Orchid greenhouse, these words came to my mind: “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’.” Psalm 14:1 Note: the fool says in his “heart,” that is, in his “want to.” He wants to say there is no God because he/she wants to be his/her own God. Scripture is clear, “The Heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament (skies above) the work of His hands.” Psalm 19:1 EVERYTHING in the entire universe—good or bad—has a creator—some with a small “c” and other aspects of Creation a “C.” Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens by random selection there is a Designer (and designer) behind it all.
Now think! As uncomprehendable, as indescribable, as omnipotent, as great, as big, as our God is, he’s small enough to live in our hearts. Now that’s mind-boggling. That’s the paradox of Christianity. If you’ve never invited Jesus Christ into your heart and given Him your life, do it now. Go to GCCCPRAY.COM and click on Info – “Do You Know Your ABC’s?”
